At least, I  feel like I'm going wild with these doll plans. I received my Flower and Junior Char about two weeks ago, and now they, my Soom Bygg, and my MNF Sl. Scar Breakaway are with my buddy tamakyuart to get repainted. I'm excited to see what she will do with them! The weather went from ☀ to⚡☔ but my latest addition made it in before the rain. This is Vai (or 'Vacious')! My birthday was last Thursday!   I spent the day mostly with my friends and a couple family members, and then on the weekend I had a sushi dinner with my family. I had a really fun time all around. Because of my birthday, the Incoming Doll list has grown to 3.   I didn't mean for this to happen, but one friend showed me pictures of Goki Doll's Mini Kai and then another friend asked if I wanted the doll head as a birthday present. I floundered for a day, made a poll to get ideas about which character of mine the doll should be, and got my answer. Sooo, that's happening towards the end of the month, I think! Thankfully, I have a body here that should work. I put dolls up for sale last week and I have a spare body to work with. Now I have to figure out their overall look/style (and whine about sewing, lol). I'm also trying to figure out a way to a certain K-Pop concert that's out of the country, but as dates close in I'm reluctantly accepting that I won...

Trying to make some space on my shelves, and that means preparing dolls to give away or sell.   I've listed some of my resin dolls that I haven't been playing with or really thinking of on one social site, so my friends can see and maybe adopt them. I'm a bit more comfortable selling my Monster High dolls, but I'm not really a seller so I'll probably price them low. (Plus I need to see what clothes and accessories I still have.) I've been taking pictures of my resin dolls all day. While I was taking pictures, it was obvious to see which dolls I was still heavily bonding (bonded?) with and those I wasn't. Don't get me wrong, I love all my BJDs--which is why I can't honestly sell  them--but there are a few that I'm not loving as much as I used to.  So hopefully I can give them to friends that will enjoy them, or at the very least have them stay at my mother unit's house. Happy New Year! What sort of doll-related goals do we have?  The year has barely started and I've put one doll on layaway, and thinking about pre-ordering another. (As one does, of course.) The first doll is a Switch Vian , and the second one is a Flower and Junior Char .  Honestly, I'm less surprised that I'm ordering more than my budget can handle (& outside of my wishlist), and more surprised that I'm ordering SDs. I own two already, but I've been staying away from the size because they're big  and I don't know how to handle or take pictures of big dolls.  Not like I know how to take pictures, anyway, but, you know . I am being good, though, and basing them off of character designs I purchased in the past! Vian will be based off of Thrift , and Char will be based off of Vacious . I'm mostly using their color schemes and any designs/traits that stand out. So, to be ahead of the curve and save money, I'm designing and sewing outfits n...

The bad thing with having crafty friends is that you get more crafty because of them and it's a beautiful mess with too much planning and not really enough action, lol. So I have... many ideas for custom nendoroids and hybrids. One of them is an old character I made back in... high school? A catboy named Ranga. I split a nendoroid with a friend, and they'll be repainting the hair and hopefully one of the faces. Then it'll be my job to get an Obitsu body and make his outfit. (Of course I paired him with a friend's cat boy (who was drawn ages  ago), so I hope that I can make the both of them!)  Another idea is Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You . A glance at a TWEWY post and a short chat with a friend led me to a big need  to plan out a custom nendoroid for him.   I still have to figure out face plates for him, so he's very much in the planning phase. The Obitsuroid tutorials I find tend to include some sort of subtractive modifications, or items that aren't readily available to me (like the Revoltech joints). I can feel myself getting in too deep, but I want to be organized about it. (I also blame a buddy of mine, who's going full steam ahead in nendoroid collecting and getting a bunch of re-ments and house/room kits.) So I made a list of accessories (clothes, items, etc.) that work with Cu-Poche, here . It's in a similar format as the Nendoroid one in the English Facebook group -- listing what's exactly to scale, off scale, and then additional bits. My main contribution to the list is the Monster High & Nendoroid mention! I posted    some pictures on Instagram of my doll/figure project of the day: a cu-poche & nendoroid hybrid. (I don't see a lot of people use the term 'cuporoid' / 「キューポろいど」 (also! 「キュポろいど」  or 「きゅぽろいど」), unlike 'obitsuroid' /「オビツろいど」 , but it does yield results!) I have that feeling of buyers' regret where you want to make the most of what you purchased (while also being bummed out that your purchase ruined your chance of getting something else, but what can you do ?) So I spent my yesterday figuring out this figma / nendoroid + picco neemo hybrid business. I brought out my Black Gold Saw figma (who matches the Picco body better than Sonico), my custom (of sorts) nendoroid, and of course the Picco Neemo S body and outfit. Going off of Hobby Search's blog post , I knew that figma heads would need no modification to be on the Picco body, while nendoroid heads were better suited for the Picco Neemo D body (but I wanted to see this combo anyway). I've been sewing outfits for the past two days, and I'm so over it, pfft. I made clothes for Dez (B&G Doll Eli-Imp) and Rumore (Soom Bygg). They both have hooves, so my main priority was to make clothes that could fit or go around them. This is the first time I've changed Dez out of his original outfit. I've always had an idea of what I wanted him to wear, but never got anything for it. There are... A LOT of issues with the clothes, lmao. It made me look at Ery again, because I had made super vague plans to use it for one of my characters. But as I was looking, I remembered a design I bought ages ago and started wondering if Ery would be a good fit for him. I'm not too big on vinyl dolls, but I've started working on plans for a Smart Doll Harmony & (Cocoa) Eiji! I've been keeping up with Smart Doll for awhile now, and I originally put Chitose (and Eiji) on my wishlist, but since Chitose didn't get a height change, I'm gonna love them from afar, haha! Eiji is still kind of on there. Honestly, I'm not too into his default looks, but thank goodness for mods. I would have put Chitose back on my wishlist and waited for her Tea or Cocoa versions, but with the character I'm working with, I need someone not pout-y. (Which is a shame because I love Chitose's pout!!) So that's how Harmony makes my list. And we recently got images for Eiji in Cocoa and he looks amazing and I'm weak willed . So, the characters these two are going to be are actually my netbook, Turnip, and tablet, Percival; respectively. I have been keeping busy for the past couple of weeks! I (mostly) finished outfits for Tiresias and Rich , added to Topher 's outfit, and have started re-working Ares' (formerly 'Pompeyo') character. I figured that I'd rather have my MNFs (minus two on the wish list) be based on well known (?) Greek figures. Ares was originally based on Tiresias' attendant that would get a small mention in stories like Oedipus and Antigone, but his character has been in need of a rub-a-dub for a good while, and I feel like he shares enough general similarities with the god that he could share his name - and maybe it'll help me explore his character more. (I've also been looking at MNF Sia but that's something I can't (financially) touch, haha. But I totally have a character Poseidon waiting for them.) I'm hoping that this week I get a little something featuring these MNFs written, and maybe make a pair of glasses. I think Rich would look good in glass...

It's way late to be saying 'Happy New Year,' but , you know . Since my last post, I finished a new outfit for Shishino (aka my little lion son)! The finishes are wonky but I like how it all turned out. Somewhat more recently, I sewed some random, no-pattern p ieces for Tiresia s. He seem ed to like the circle dress I made ('cause he wasn't as kicky in at compared to t he other two things I made, lol) so I' ve been drawing out a mori girl/mori kei styled outfit for him. I'll probably have to go fabric shopping , since I doubt I own any old clothes that would work for the st yle, pfft. I may also get a new doll head. I really shouldn't , but it might happen. Still gotta hear back from the seller! Here's to new, exciting things in the next post!  

aka What I've been calling my new Azone x Kinoko Juice Kikipop boy! ugly phone pic aside I'm really glad to have him home. His head isn't wobbly and his face up is fine, but he does have slightly weak knees, and the holes in his additional hands are too small for the hand peg (I barely got one hand on. The other hand still has some plastic in it, so I can't even try to fit the hand on the peg). But I can look passed those. His wig was fairly easy to ease off. There wasn't a lot of glue, so slow tugging got it off fine. His current wig is a Luts 'Commander of Blue Knights' Abadon wig, that was supposed to go to Eddy but ~wig plans changed~ so I've been holding on to it for a long while, haha. It's about 8-9in, which is a bit big, but it works. (Others find 7-8in a better fit.) like the rest of my dolls I gotta figure out an outfit for him (something rough, tough, and royal), but thankfully he's fully clothed!!

So I can totally add twist gel to Tibetan lamb fur to make neat little twists. I would not want to twist a full wig, but at least I know it's a thing I can do. I added a twist to Rich's wig, so they've got one nice, thin twist that curls a bit at the end. The next wig I have to work on is Pompeyo (Does he need a name change? I have a feeling I should change it *shrugs*), which will be interesting since I want it short and I've never taken scissors to any wig. I'll probably have to buy those little poster strips to replace the velcro that (kind of barely) holds on to my dolls' wigs. Those feel like they would be neater to work with, anyway. I will also need to get Rich eyes, soon, because them not having eyes bothers me. It's not bad but I want them to have eyes ASAP. I'll probably get a pair after this Taobao GO I'm in. I paid for 3 pairs of MSD shoes (wanted to get 4 but these sandals I wanted for Tiresias would've held back other orders) ...

Incoming doll, incoming Tibetan lamb fur, would have incoming shoes, but sliMSDs are such a pain to shop around for (Taobao came up with nothing reasonably sized, so eBay is sort of my only option (I know there's Etsy, but I want too much from too many Etsy stores, lol). I'm really digging the '17" Tonner Matt' shoes even though they're kind of big-ish. I get very particular about doll shoes, apparently). In the mean time, I'm going to be camping out on DreamSelfy and getting clothing ideas. And maybe sometime this week I'll actually start sewing? (I say this, but will it ever actually happen?) I kind of have to do some room cleaning, so if I can unearth my fabric and sewing tools, then I can make a mess of my living room - but at least I'll be doing something productive. Honestly, I can't wait to start using the lamb fur (Is it the same as mohair, or is mohair different?) I really like making wigs for my dolls, since I feel decent at it. ;P ...

'Mail' was fun to do, because Topher (Soom Afi) was more mouthy than usual to Dez (B&G Eli-Imp). Topher's a sweet kid, but just bittersweet to Dez (because of silly back story reasons). This was also the first time I mentioned one of the adults/older characters from their doll-verse? (I think.) Vergil 'Venus' Adrom (Crobidoll Mikhail) is the guy that Dez and Topher came from, basically. Now this reminds me that one the dolls I wanted for Topher's adopted parents is going to be discontinued soon. I wanted one of his dads to be a DollZone Floy. ohwell.
